Felico, Mrs. Ada
pcadventistschool@comcast.net
Office Manager and Registrar
The first stop on your journey into Port Charlotte Adventist School is at the front office, where you will be greeted by our office manager and registrar, Ada Felico.
Long hours of dedicated work seems to be her main focus. She spends great amounts of time answering the telephone, typing, filing, keeping school supplies and other instructional materials available, running errands, serving hot lunch on Mondays, making copies for students, answering questions, making boo-boos on kids' knees feel better, delivering mail, tending to the details of an efficiently run school and other things too numerous to mention!
Since she is not in charge of a classroom, her emphasis is on having all parents and students feel as comfortable as possible, and to know they are a part of the PCAS family. The students know how special they are to her. They can be seen using the slightest excuse to stop at the front office for a band-aid, a hug, a smile, a word of encouragement, and many other assorted attentions! Born in Havana, Cuba, she came to America in 1962 as a teenager. She went to Hunter Business School to receive her bookkeeper certification. Living in New York, she met Ismael and they married in 1963. They left New York and moved to Miami where they lived for 25 years raising 4 children, David, Olga Lydia, Andre, and Anthony. Just last year, in 2006, they moved to North Port to be near their daughter and 6 year old granddaughter. This is her first year as part of our school family. Welcome, Ada. We're happy to have you as part of the Port Charlotte Adventist School staff.
